Submissions

Send all submissions of all kinds to:

Daniel Muniz (dmuniz@colgate.edu; CU box Q4564) or
Angelica A. (achapman@colgate.edu; CU box C616)

On Intuit, everyone is encouraged to contribute his/her/hir voice, both by commenting on articles, and by submitting one’s own work!

Feel free to submit any of the following:
- Articles
- Essays
- Reviews (of music, concerts, movies, etc.)
- Opinion
- Poetry
- Visual art
- And anything that you want to share.

A few things you should know:

1. Any comments and submissions that are obviously in the good spirit of learning, debate, and intellectual enrichment will be approved.
2. No expression of hatred toward a fellow site contributor will be tolerated, and any such contributions will not be posted.
3. We, the editors, reserve the right to disapprove posts that are deliberately offensive and do not contribute to discussion. This has never happened, however, and we think such an occurrence will be exceedingly rare.

Intuit is a SAFE ZONE, where any and all nuanced combinations of identities – including but not limited to race, class, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, religion, ability, and ideology – are acknowledged, welcomed, and encouraged.

However, we may all be prodded out of our intellectual comfort zones many times over, and have our beliefs challenged. That is excellent. Any controversy over intellectual lines is fair game, as long as others’ personal identities/choices are respected and the discussion remains thoughtful (and we have full confidence that it will remain so).

If any reader or contributor feels that he/she/zi is made to feel unwelcome on the site, or if you have any suggestions on how any aspect of the site could be improved, please let us know privately.

Editors' Note

Encouraging people to utilize and share their voice in a public forum is our top priority. We recognize that tampering with the voices of contributors to Intuit in any way – changing, rearranging, deleting words – is to silence them, and ultimately, works against our goals of encouraging a friendly environment where people feel comfortable exploring and engaging with language power play.

The only form of “editing” we do is ensuring that words are spelled correctly and there is no confusion with punctuation. Any editing that we do is first suggested to the author and they make their corrections as they see fit. And by the way, everything submitted to us gets published!
